About Us

Spring Valley Mulch, LLC. was established in 2004 in Dover, Pennsylvania.  Our family business began with Klinger’s Skid and Pallet owned and operated by the Klinger family for 35 years.  As this business grew, we saw a need for the disposal of unused pallets and began to recycle it into mulch.

We started out very small and have continued to grow each and every year. At Spring Valley Mulch we pride ourselves on our superior products and the services that we provide to our customers. Taking this waste wood and turning it into mulch eliminates disposal of these products into our landfills or the incinerator.

In 2004 we purchased our first Rotochopper horizontal grinder and began grinding and coloring waste wood into colored mulch for local homes and businesses. We operate 2 Rotochopper grinders and a Diamond Z tub grinder for our high quality hardwood mulch manufacturing.

Our wholesale business began supplying local nurseries in the York County area and today we service nurseries and professional landscapers up to 100 miles from our Dover, PA facility. We supply landscapers using blower trucks as well as those applying mulch by hand.

We continue to sell our mulch to the public from our Dover, PA operations site and in 2009 we added a second retail location in Manchester, PA.
